Add and import customers

Add B2B, B2C and export customers with GSTIN, address, credit limit and opening balance.

Where to find it: Contacts → CustomersOpen in app

Add a customer

  1. 1Go to Customers and click Add customer.
  2. 2Enter the Name and choose the Type: B2C (consumer), B2B (registered business) or Export (foreign client).
  3. 3For B2B, the GSTIN is required. For export, enter the Country and Billing currency instead.
  4. 4Fill in the billing address — Address line 1, City, State and PIN. It is printed on every invoice.
  5. 5Add Mobile (needed for WhatsApp reminders) and Email.
  6. 6Optionally set a Credit limit, Terms (days) for the due date, and an Opening balance (what they already owe you).
  7. 7Choose the Usual supply to this customer (regular, SEZ, deemed export) if it isn't a regular supply.
  8. 8Click Add customer.

Tip: The customer's state decides CGST + SGST vs IGST, so check it carefully for B2C customers too.

Import customers from Excel

  1. 1On Customers, click Import from Excel.
  2. 2Click Download Excel template and fill in one customer per row.
  3. 3Click Browse, choose the filled-in .xlsx (or .csv) file, and click Import N customers after checking the preview.
  4. 4Any skipped rows are listed with the reason — fix those and re-upload just the corrected rows. The example row from the template is skipped automatically.

Tip: Coming from Tally or Zybra? Use Import from Tally or Import from Zybra instead.

Customer page

Click a customer to see their details, what they Owe you, and their full ledger of invoices and payments. Use Edit to change details or Remove to delete one — a customer who already has invoices is marked inactive instead, so their invoices and GST filings stay intact.
