Inventory: opening stock, adjustments and transfers
Record opening stock, correct counts, write off damage and move stock between warehouses.
Where to find it: Stock → InventoryOpen in app
In this guide
Add opening stock
- 1Go to Inventory and click Add stock.
- 2Choose the Product and the Warehouse.
- 3Under What is this, pick Opening stock.
- 4Enter the Quantity and Unit cost (used for stock value and profit), and an optional Note.
- 5Click Add stock.
Tip: You don't need to add stock for each sale or purchase — issued invoices reduce stock and received purchase bills increase it automatically.
Adjust stock after a count
- 1Find the product row and click Adjust.
- 2Under What happened, choose a reason — e.g. Correction after a stock count or Damaged or written off.
- 3Enter the quantity. Use a minus sign to reduce stock (e.g. -3).
- 4Click Record movement.
Transfer stock between warehouses
- 1Click Transfer on the product row.
- 2Choose where it's Moving to, enter the Quantity, and click Move stock.
Tip: Transfers need at least two warehouses. Add one under Warehouses.
Read the stock table
- On hand — physically in the warehouse.
- Reserved — set aside for open orders.
- Available — on hand minus reserved.
- Minimum — the low-stock alert level. Tick Low stock to see only items at or below it.
