Add and manage products and services
Create items with HSN/SAC, GST rate, prices and a low-stock alert.

Add a product
- 1Go to Products and click Add product.
- 2Enter the Name and choose the Type — Goods (tracked in stock) or Service (not stocked).
- 3Search and pick the HSN / SAC code by code or name (e.g. “rice”). The GST rate fills in; check it.
- 4Enter the Cost price and Selling price. Tick Selling price already includes GST if your price is tax-inclusive.
- 5Optionally add a SKU, MRP, Barcode, Unit and Description.
- 6For goods, set Alert below — you're notified when stock falls to this level.
- 7Click Save product.
Tip: Correct HSN codes and GST rates matter: they decide the tax on every invoice and the HSN summary in GSTR-1.
Edit or retire a product
Click a product to edit it. Changes apply from now on — invoices already made keep the name, HSN and GST rate they were issued with.
To stop selling an item, untick Active. It disappears from lists and invoice pickers but stays on past invoices. Tick Show inactive on the list to see it again.
